Band of Brothers
dedicated to Lonnie Williams, a U.S. Army sergeant in Vietnam
I can hear their voices
Echo long within the night
They are the band of brothers
Side by side they fight
I can hear their voices
See their faces very clear
They are the band of brothers
And always will be here
From the land and from the sea
Band of brothers every one
Whisper still within my dream
Each and every father's son
Brace the pole upon their waists
In the rocks on mountain high
Raise our blessed hope
Glory's flag began to fly
Below lay lines of dead
Their bodies say it all
Our comrade just a brother
Hear the trumpet call
Wars are won and wars are lost
Memories seem to fade
Sacrifice upon that day
Below that hill had lied
Now they stood alone
no longer held the hand
Without the band of brothers
How could they ever hope to stand
To the left they marched
To the right they held the line
They are my band of brothers
Together till the end of time
Oh, I can hear their voices
Echo long with in the night
They are the band of brothers
Side by side they fight
In my dreams they never leave me
My brothers banded friend
In my dreams I always see them
Marching loyal till the end
Band of brothers
To the rescue
Band of brothers
In the sky
Band of brothers
Will never leave you
Their souls will never die
They keep on marching onward
Across the vast domain
Band of brothers
To the rescue
For freedom was their name!
